Safety and COVID Protocols

We are taking steps to help keep you safe!
Your safety is our top priority.
We have kept our facility squeaky clean while you have been away and will continue to do so. IFY instructors and staff will be responsible for thoroughly sanitizing the studios before, during and after each class.
We have lowered our class capacity.
For comfort and safety of both members and the instructor, we will allow for 6 feet of physical distance between each person in the studio. Our studios will be marked clearly for mats and workout stations.
We have shortened our classes and increased transition time between each class and session.
In order to maximize your exercise time, and to facilitate class transitions and cleanup in between, our classes will now 50min in length. Be sure to check out our new schedule on our website now.
Coming to Class
You will need to book each class online
BYOM Bring your own Mat, Water, Towel and any props you may want or need for your particular class. We are offering rental ‘kits’ for $35/Month, for you to take home with you, which include a yoga mat, a block and bands.
Come Prepared and ready to workout – dressed in work out clothes and shoes. Cubbies in the studios will not be available for storing your personal belongings during class for the time being.
Arrive at least 5 minutes before class to set up and you will have 5 minutes after each class to exit the studio to allow us to clean and sanitize.
Sanitize your hands upon entry, and be prepared to answer simple mandated health questions. DO NOT come for class if you are feeling ill, or if you have any cold symptoms.
Find you spot based on our mat placement stickers to ensure physical distancing.
Exit class safely and promptly once the instructor opens the door.
Additional Safety Measures
We will Live Stream our classes. If you are not ready to come into the studio just yet, we will host live streams of each class to keep you moving at home!
We have implemented some facility changes. Our showers, cubbies and change area are currently unavailable. There is limited use of washrooms available, and our towel service is suspended. Please come dressed for class with your own towel and water.
If you feel sick, please stay at home. Working out is not only counterproductive when you are sick, it’s also a safety concern right now. To protect the well-being of our community, we ask that youstay home if you have even the slightest of symptoms.

We are monitoring local, provincial, and federal guidelines as well as using common sense. We are committed to our community’s health. We will keep you posted if the situation changes and intend to make your safety and ours the priority.

STAFF & MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
Be Kind. Be Safe. Be Calm Together.
If you feel sick, stay at home. This includes flu-like symptoms or potential symptoms of COVID-19 such as headache, fever, cough, runny nose, loss of sense of taste or small, or shortness of breath.
Virtual Hugs Only. Avoid physical contact and maintain a safe distance at all times.
If you test Positive for COVID-19, or someone in your household does, please do not attend class for a minimum of 14 days and return only once your health care provider has said it is safe to do so.

Practice personal responsibility and safety. If you are in a high-risk category or caregiving for someone who is, we understand this might not be the right time for you to return to IFY. By choosing to attend class at IFY, you acknowledge the risk of participating during the global pandemic of COVID-19, even with our increased safety measures.

CLASS REGISTRATION
You will be able to register for your classes up to one week in advance, please only register for one class a day in fairness for everyone coming back to their fitness & yoga practice!
